Question:
What do you usually give for the tin type photos? (they are pictures of people- kids mainly).
May 11 04:54
Answer:
Please send a photo OR PHOTOS of what you have.
If the person or child in the tintype is holding something I pay up to $3.00 each, if not I only pay about .50 cents each to $1.00. But I must see A IMAGE FIRST BEFORE I BUY. Hope that helps. Also all the tintypes must be in very good condition no bends scratchs and the image must be very clear.
THE SIZES I WISH
START AT 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 INCH AND UP.
Thanks

Question:
I have some black and white photos from the 40's and the early 60's. Mostly of people and babies. One 40's portrait is a soldier. Other 40's portraits come in cardboard frames. The 60's are amatuer family photos. I also have old greeting cards from the 40's and 50's, and school attendance awards from the 30's. Let me know if you might be interested in anything, if so I can post an offer. What would you pay for the 40's framed portraits if you wanted them?

Answer:
Hello
Sorry I do not want just portraits of people. The photos I want must have the people doing something or holding something.
I am only looking for photos from the 1930's and before.
CDV's Cabinet Cards, Photo Postcards of main streets in small towns, trains, indians, western, tintypes, mounted photo's.
of Cars, Trucks, childern holding toys, dolls, guns.
I may like to see what the cost of the school attendance awards, and would maybe like to also know the cost of the greeting cards. Please I must see images of the items before I buy.
Thanks for letting me know what you have to offer and good luck in selling it all.

Question:
Hi-I have exactly what you are looking for. Approximately 200 photos, mostly 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. They are dated 1915-1919. Lots of pictures from wartime, Indians, Trains, Ships, Foxholes, People doing things-no portraits. It is a great collection for a historian. Lots of the pictures have writing on the backs to denote what it is and when it was taken. I also have postcards from same period. Great stuff. Cannot send image because I don't have digital camera nor do I have a scanner. Let me know if interested. Thanks.

Question:
The photos are from WW1, actually they date from 1911 through 1923.There seems to be only one picture of an Indian on a horse, don't know what tribe. A lot of the pictures are from Utah, California and some of the Hudson River. The military pictures are of men in uniform, showing trenches, dug outs, barracks, holding rifles. The pictures of trains seem to be a locomotive and the ship is the SS Finland. Other pictures of boats are sailboats, powered boats. There are pictures of Mt. Passes, The Panama Canal, group shots of men and women. Some shots are of men swimming and/or diving. Their clothing is fascinating, the story these pictures tell are fascinating. The pictures that have writing are in pen and script and they describe what's in the picture. If you are a collector, this is one collection you should own. I am not and I am fascinated by them. I think you are going to have to take a leap of faith with these. Actually there are probably 400 or so, some postcards. One postcard is from New Years Eve, 1909 with a picture of 10 men in a holiday ornament. A one cent stamp is afixed on the back. Other postcards are of steamships "The Porto Rico", a group of people on the Pacific #4. Too many to list, just fascinating. I will entertain your offer. I will be going out of town next week for a few days so if you don't make a decision before then, I guess we'll be in touch when I return. Thanks and good luck.
